The guests start arriving at our mountain paradise...

Quinton Gordon has arrived for a week of scouting gardens and taking pictures for our Slocan Valley garden book (tentative date of release: June 2005). We've had a great time visiting an assortment of interesting gardeners and their organic gardens. Quin's wife, Katherine, author of A Curious Life and The Slocan: Portrait of a Valley, is writing the book. We're all excited to be working on this project together.

Peter Ng, our print rep from King's Time Printing in Vancouver, B.C. arrived three hours after Quin (both at the Castlegar airport) to deliver the printing bluelines for Plants of Haida Gwaii by Nancy Turner and The Thunder of their Passing by Robert D. Turner (reprint). Because Quin was using our guestroom, Peter stayed at a local B & B, Arica Gardens.

The colour ozalid proofs for both books look spectacular.
